This was a special session for me. A few years ago I met Jaime and Mike and got to photograph their wedding. Jaime's mom warned me that she had 4 daughters so if I did a good job, I would get to photograph them all...luckily I passed the test. They flew me out to Utah to photograph their second daughter's wedding (which I got to shoot with my little sister). I photographed their family last winter and now I got to photograph Jaime and Mike as they prepare to become parents. This was a lot of fun! They live in Minnesota but were visiting the area and called me up. I made sure to find my way down to Richmond to make it work. I love the images we captured. Here are a few:

Choi Family
Love this cute family! And even though Collin didn't want to get his picture taken, we still captured some great expressions. Especially from Claudia, such a sweet little girl.
Catching Up
Usually February and March are slow months, but with teaching the Photo Class (which went really well!) and lots of newborns, I have kept myself pretty busy! Here are some of my favorite images from recent sessions.
This family is so adorable! And I love how they found me to be their photographer. They were visiting DC for the weekend and had a photographer lined up for a family session before moving overseas. Their photographer cancelled last minute so while they were at the zoo trying to figure out what to do, a stranger noticed one of them wearing a BYU t-shirt and struck up a conversation. During that conversation they mentioned the need for a photographer...I happened to be that other family's photographer! So he gave them my phone number and the rest is history! I'm so glad I could help and think we captured some great moments.

Here is a sweet newborn session.
And check out the BLUE eyes on both of these beautiful children.

Tiny Twins
Katie is one of my dearest friends. She just gave birth to twins - 10 weeks early! They are doing great and just need to stay in the hospital to get bigger.
I was really glad I got a chance to go down to Williamsburg and visit her and to be the first one (outside their family) to meet James and Thomas. During the visit it was the first time she got to hold the two of them together since they had been born. You can see the happiness on her face! Not only that but the boys seemed so relaxed and happy to be next to momma.
I was glad I could be there to photograph that special moment! I fell in love with their cute little faces immediately and even got to hold little James.
Congratulations Jeff, Katie and Leah...and James and Thomas (you guys have a great family).
