Little Red Riding Hood {Photography by Danelle Empey}

One of the things I love most about being a photographer is getting to photograph my own beautiful daughter.  She rarely lets me do it.  And hates looking at the camera.  I have to beg, plead, bribe, yell, cry, etc...just to get a few good shots.

But every once in a while magic happens.  Yesterday I put on her Halloween costume that I had just finished sewing and she played the part of Little Red while I photographed her.  The pictures, if I do say so myself, are stunning.  It helps that she, if I do say so myself, is also stunning!

Here is a look at what I captured.

Rushforth Family - Old Town, VA {Photographs by Danelle Empey}

I had a lot of fun with this family!  They were all good sports even though it was a bit of a chilly morning.  We walked all over Old Town to find some fun spots.  I love how they turned out.

McArthur Family

I love families with all boys!  And I think these boys are pretty handsome.  I also love the location next to the Capitol.  I found this park a couple of months ago and have been wanting to photograph here.  Jenny wanted pictures in DC, so it was a perfect fit.

August Wedding - Washington DC LDS Temple {Photography by Danelle Empey}

Braden and Angela were so much fun to photograph, even on a muggy day in August.  I always love getting to photograph at the LDS DC Temple.  It is so beautiful.

They played a game at their reception that I had never seen before with a pair of shoes.  A question about their relation was asked and eached of them answered what they thought the answer was by raising a shoe.  For example, "Who fell in love first?"  They both raised Braden's shoe in the air!  I thought it was sweet.

Catching Up - Sept & Oct {Photography by Danelle Empey}

These beautiful Fall months seem to fly by without time for me to catch up on posting some of the beautiful families and events that I have photographed.  Here are a few...I will post a few more in the next couple of days (I hope!)

First, here is the Walker Family.  I photographed them last year for the first time and had so much fun with them.  I was happy they called me again this year.  Sad to hear they are moving away from the area.  That's what happens living here in DC!

Old Town is one of my favorite places to photograph and especially when I find new nooks and crannies.  And I was happy to see this family again after having photographed their wedding a couple of years ago.

And last but not least, I photographed this cute family at Glen Echo Park in DC.  I love that park!  We had fun chasing their cute little girls around and even getting motion sick on the carousel.
