Fall Family Sessions - Schedule Your Session Now!

It's almost that time of year - Fall Family Photos!

I'm looking forward to it, I hope you are.

Because my schedule gets filled up quickly, (and last year worked so well) I thought I would share my schedule online for Saturdays.  In order to accommodate more than one family in a day,  on Saturdays in the Fall I only schedule the following fantastic locations:

The Mall in DC
Old Town, Alexandria
Huntley Meadows, Alexandria
Fort Ward, Alexandria
Meridian Park, DC

The first person to schedule a particular Saturday Session chooses the location for all other sessions on that day.  I do have weekdays in the mornings and evenings available for sessions at any location of your choice.

To reserve your session, please call me at 703.943.9067.

Sessions are $175** and include my time and talent during the session, and all images that are lightly edited and posted to an online gallery.  From the gallery you can view and share the images, order prints, or download high-resolution jpegs at no extra cost.

**Sessions are for families of 5.  $10/per additional person.
The Session Fee will be raised in January 2014 to $200

Holly - Maternity at Huntley Meadows in Virginia {Photography by Danelle Empey}

Such a sweet session.  Holly is a beautiful mother of 2 adorable little boys and now is expecting a little girl!  We had a beautiful session at Huntley Meadows in Northern Virginia.  Holly looked absolutely radiant.  I can't wait to meet her baby girl.

Catching Up - Again! {Photographs by Danelle Empey}

It seems like this keeps happening.  I have had a very busy season and have loved getting to meet new people and photograph some returning clients.  It's been fun, but busy.  So I'm finally getting around to posting a few.  Here are some of the fun images I've been able to capture these last couple of months.

Even though it was too humid for words, I had a great session with this beautiful couple at the Jefferson Memorial.

Rich Family in DC {Photography by Danelle Empey}

I love photographing in DC.  I don't even mind DC traffic...most of the time.

This is the Rich Family.  They wanted to have their pictures taken in DC because (like everyone else I know) they were just here temporarily and are now headed out on their next adventure.

Good luck, guys.  You have an adorable family.  Thanks for putting up with the wind on our chilly Spring session.

Alex and Nick - Mesa AZ LDS Temple {Photographs by Danelle Empey}

I am so happy Alex asked me to photograph her wedding.  She's my husband's cousin so it was so much fun to get to see all of his family again.  And on top of that, I got to see my little sister, Monica, who is also a photographer.  She helped me shoot the wedding...and if I do say so myself, we did an awesome job!

Of course Alex and Nick have a lot to do with that.  They had a beautiful spring day in Arizona, the Temple was beautiful, Alex is BEAUTIFUL, her dress (which was also her mother's dress) was gorgeous, Nick is handsome, and they were so in love.  It was perfect.

Here are a few...okay, A LOT, of images that Monica and I captured.

Karen and Jordan - Engagement Session in Old Town {Photographs by Danelle Empey}

We had perfect weather for this engagement session, which has been a bit tricky to find this season.  Karen and Jordan were a lot of fun and willing to do whatever I asked...even if it did involve a bit more "PDA" than Karen was comfortable with. At least Jordan was grateful.

Here is a little preview of the images we captured.
